Men and Marriage

We can not really love anybody with whom we cannot laugh.

Love Those Wrinkles

"At this point, I lie in bed at night and hear myself wrinkle. It wakes me up. The wrinkling comes in loud and clear because it is happening so near my ears. One night my husband sat right up in the bed and whispered, "The house is settling...or is that you wrinkling again?" But the good news is... wrinkles not only come from time and the sun, they also come from laughing at the absurdities of life, which increase exponentially after 40. They also come from looking surprised when your child hands you a woolly worm from the garden. They come from smiling when you see an old friend who is as wrinkled as you are. They are a roadmap of experience that you alone have enjoyed. ~ Liz Curtis Higgs
